I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur around early last year. I even enrolled into an MBA program thinking I needed a degree to teach me how to run a business. I knew in my gut that I didn’t want to go back to school.

I also took inventory of all the people I know in my life who are entrepreneurs and run their own businesses.

And guess what?

The most successful business owners I know don’t even have college degrees.

Once I realized this, I immediately dropped my classes and let the college know I would no longer be attending.

I then needed to come up with a business idea.

                  And that’s where I got stuck. What kind of business did I even want to run? I knew I wanted to use my nursing expertise and healthcare experience. I was also looking for something with a low start-up cost.

I started googling.

What kinds of businesses do nurses run? I wasn’t interested in an IV hydration business or doing a med spa. I was looking for something I could run by myself.

I searched for months.

And then one day I was mindlessly scrolling Facebook and came across an Ad for a Nurse Health Writer, and it all clicked for me. That would be the perfect business for me to start.

Because it took me so long to figure out what kind of business I wanted to start as a registered nurse, I wanted to help others come up with ideas for their own nurse businesses. I want to help save other weeks or months of looking for the perfect business idea as a registered nurse.
